GbsPro (here)

GbsPro is a simple Windows (64-bit or 32-bit) utility program that was developed to simplify the task of getting Genotyping-By-Sequencing (GBS) or similar next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based data into FAMD. The program can be run from the command-line or used via its graphical user interface.

GbsPro currently performs these functions:

  • Demultiplexing of single- or paired-end NGS reads given internal barcodes, allowing for rescue of poor barcodes using sequence-quality-based minimum odds and odds ratios.
  • Unique tag counting and processing to generate tag count tables, e.g. for import into FAMD.

Internally, GbsPro uses the biOP libraries for NGS file handling.
